  1. On average i guess this makes sense. But not all draft are equal. #4 maybe worth more or less depending on the player.

  2. If Oilers did trade the #4 to Arizona for #7 and #20. Oilers would need to have a player in mind that they want. My guess that would be Sergachev at #7., however if that played out

    Arizona- Tkachuk
    Vancouver- Dubois
    Cal- Nylander, Keller or a D.

    Oilers may not get their player they want at #7. Assuming it is Sergachev

    1. It’s definitely a gamble when you move down especially the closer to the top of the draft. For prospects, the Oilers need both d and forwards but have more depth at d. Therefore, if they do not trade the pick for immediate help at d, I would retain it and draft the best forward at the #4 spot.
